Yes. We offer a lab quality pregnancy test that detects a 99% accurate result as early as 7-10 days after conception. With a positive pregnancy test result we will confirm with a free ultrasound to verify that you have a viable intrauterine pregnancy. An ultrasound will determine the fetal age.
A confidential pregnancy test with ultrasound confirmation is offered free of charge. No money or insurance is required.
It is seldom that we are able to accommodate a walk-in pregnancy test due to the number of clients requesting our services. On most days, our medical professional has a full appointment schedule. It is in your best interest to call or text to schedule an appointment. With an appointment, you will have a short wait. A walk-in may result in scheduling an appointment for another visit on a different day.
We will need a valid Photo ID to administer the test. If you do not have a Photo ID, we will take a picture with an instant camera so that your client file will have a picture of you. You will also need to provide us with the first day of your last period. We will obtain a urine sample from you at your appointment.
You will receive your test result during your visit. Please allow an hour for your pregnancy test appointment. If you are less than 6 weeks into your pregnancy, you will be scheduled for an ultrasound appointment when you reach 6 weeks into your pregnancy. If you are at least 6 weeks into your pregnancy, an ultrasound will follow your pregnancy test appointment to confirm that you have a viable intrauterine pregnancy. The ultrasound will take approximately thirty minutes. Allow for 1 ½ hours for a test and ultrasound appointment.
Yes. We will give you a Pregnancy Test Form, confirming either a positive or negative test result. This form may be used to verify a pregnancy for the purpose of obtaining insurance or Medicaid, for those who qualify, through the Division of Family Services.
No. You may come in alone. Even though you are a minor, you have the right to confidential help, except as required by Missouri law or as required for the protection of yourself or others.
Absolutely. It is important to have the support of friends or family during an uncertain time. The initial intake process will be private between you and a medical professional; however, there will a time when your friend or family member may join you, if that is your desire.
Hand ‘n Hand does not offer the morning-after pill, or Plan B. We can provide you with information about emergency contraception so that you are fully informed prior to use.
