Hand ‘n Hand is here to assist you with your decision to parent. We have several programs for which you may be eligible to attend.

Caring Hands Program

First time pregnancy test clients who test positive at our office are invited to participate in the Caring Hands Program. Caring Hands is a monthly class for the expectant mom or mom and dad. The class consists of 9 sessions meeting once a month. Each hour long session with the same Caregiver will include education on various topics pertaining to healthy pregnancy and infant care as clients prepare for the birth of their baby. Following each session, participants will receive a new baby item for their baby. At the completion of the program, participants will have received many new baby items as well as an infant layette prepared especially for them. This layette contains many items to help them prepare for baby’s arrival. In addition, participants will receive their selection of a larger infant item (car seat, crib mattress, swing, bouncie seat or pack-n-play). You are not alone through your pregnancy or beyond. Your Caregiver is there for you to offer guidance and emotional support throughout pregnancy and following birth.

Get Connected Group for Moms

Get Connected is a monthly meeting for all Hand ‘n Hand moms allowing them to meet other moms as they share the journey of motherhood. There are refreshments and a topic of discussion related to parenthood at each meeting. Get Connected is held the third Tuesday of each month from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Registration is required to attend this meeting. Childcare is provided for infants up to age 4

Maternity Clothing

As the need approaches, Hand ‘n Hand can provide clients with a variety of maternity clothing needs such as tops, pants, dresses, etc. throughout pregnancy.

Material Needs Assistance

At 4-6 weeks prior to birth, Hand ‘n Hand can provide an expectant mom with many items needed in preparation of caring for an infant, such as blankets, bottles and clothing items. In addition, there is a fully stocked warehouse filled with most items needed in providing for an infant. Following your baby’s birth, we can provide assistance with weekly needs such as diapers, wipes, formula, baby food and infant toiletry items.  Clients can receive material needs assistance for their child from birth up until the child’s second birthday.

Community Referrals

Hand ‘n Hand has many partners in the community and can provide referrals to resources for needs such as medical, housing, financial assistance and social services.
